What is the event? Named after a long-time HRC board member, Mark Benjamin, who embodied the HRC’s mission and values and was a role model for community service, the event recognizes individuals who volunteer their time to promote understanding among diverse people, take actions that make a difference and demonstrates compassion for others.

Who are the 2017 Award Recipients? Judi Barker, Neil Carrey, Elizabeth Cruz and Steve Vielhaber

When is the event? Thursday, April 27th, 2017 from 6-8pm

Where is the event? At the Santa Monica Baha’i Center – 3102 Colorado Ave., Santa Monica

What is the cost to attend? Due to the generous underwriting of our sponsors the event is free, but everyone must RSVP. Space is limited and only those who RSVP will be guaranteed admission until we have reached capacity.

How do I RSVP? Go to https://humanrelationscouncilmarkjbenjamin.eventbrite.com and register your attendance.

Will there be food and refreshments? A light buffet dinner with vegetarian options will be provided, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and desserts, beginning at 6pm.

Can I just attend for the program? Yes, but you must still RSVP because space is limited. The program will begin promptly at 7pm.

Is parking available? Parking in Santa Monica can be challenging. Street parking is available on side streets near the Baha’i Center, as well as a limited number of spaces at the Westside Christian Fellowship Church – 2948 Colorado Ave. Carpooling or using a car service is encouraged.

What’s the attire? Business casual

Is the Baha’i Center ADA Accessible? Yes, the facility is fully accessible for people with disabilities.
